Priocept are looking to recruit a technologist with proven commercial experience leading the development of web-based systems and applications on the Java platform. A passion for software design and development is essential and the ability to lead development projects, including requirements analysis and technical design will be beneficial.

The successful candidate will report in to Priocept’s Head of Software Engineering and will be responsible for defining and managing the implementation of the technical solutions for our clients whilst also mentoring and leading other members of the development team.

The role would suit a strong software engineer or architect looking to take the step into a client-facing consultancy or technical management position.

Candidates must have excellent core Java skills along with a sound working knowledge of OO design patterns, Apache Tomcat, and web tier frameworks such as Struts, Spring MVC and/or JSF. Exposure to JCR/JSR-170 and Microsoft technologies (especially .NET) would be a plus, although training will be provided for the right candidate.

Previous experience with enterprise Web Content Management platforms such as Magnolia or Adobe CQ or will be very beneficial, as would experience of eCommerce implementations.  Knowledge of other foundation web technologies such as CSS, JavaScript/JQuery and web services is also expected.
