- Lloyd’s and Priocept Launch Next Version of www.lloyds.com

Lloyd’s of London and their technology services partner, Priocept, announced today the launch of the next version of www.lloyds.com. Priocept consultants, working alongside Lloyd’s IT and business teams, have delivered a single sign-on framework and web user identity management system following a six month implementation phase. This forms the basis for authentication and authorisation on all future web based product developments at Lloyd’s.

Insurance professionals and market participants from around the world can now sign up for secure access to the site. This will allow them to take advantage of personalised content and access to market leading products and services tailored to the needs of their business, such as Crystal, which provides Lloyd’s global trading advice for insurers and re-insurers.

The Lloyds.com platform is becoming a foundation for business transformation and new product development within Lloyd’s. By working with Priocept to evolve the Lloyds.com technology platform, we can now support these new initiatives and deliver various new products and services. This takes Lloyds.com far beyond its original role as a marketing communications tool. Priocept will continue to play an integral role in additional product development activities throughout 2007, in collaboration with Lloyd’s internal IT staff.

Jo Scott, Senior Web Manager, Lloyd’s

Our Lloyd’s engagements to date have followed an outsourcing model. Priocept provides a team of consultants and technologists on-site at Lloyd’s, to assist with the development and operation of their web platform. This demonstrates how clients can efficiently and economically outsource ‘web product development’ activities.
