Junior Software Engineer (Industrial Placement)


Priocept is looking to take on a university placement student who wishes to build a career in software engineering and web development.

The successful candidate will join a team of developers and project managers involved in building internet based applications for clients such as GlaxoSmithKline, Association of British Insurers, WWF and Vitec Videocom.

Placements are available for students at Imperial College London reading one of the following courses:

  • MEng Computing (6 months: 4th April – 23rd September 2016)
  • MEng Mathematics and Computer Science (4 months: 6th June – 23rd September 2016)

The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of software development and will have hands-on programming experience either on the Microsoft (.NET) or Enterprise Java (J2EE) stack.

An interest in, and exposure to, non-Microsoft/Java technologies (such as PHP, Ruby, Grails, Python, etc) will also be of benefit.

A passion for internet technologies is a must, and candidates with extensive HTML, JavaScript and CSS development experience will have a real advantage.
